  • Main Fuses: You must install external main fuses at your batteries (e.g., a 150A fuse at the aux battery).
  • Fuses: The DC-Hub is supplied without fuses. You must select the correct Maxi and Standard ATO fuses for your loads and wire gauges.
  • Cabling: Appropriate gauge cabling for your planned loads.

Connections

  • All ground connections are combined on the circuit board.
  • P3: House (aux) battery (requires external 150A fuse).
  • P8 & P14: Start batteries (requires external fuses at vehicle start batteries; supports dual alternators at different voltages if DC/DC chargers are compatible).
  • P7 & P13: Solar panel inputs (regulated and unregulated).
  • P5 & P11: DC/DC charger outputs and ground.
  • P6 & P12: Solar and start battery inputs.
  • Remaining connectors (P4, P9, P10, 25A outputs): For loads such as fridges, lights, compressors, or as additional inputs for chargers/regulators.
  • All fused Outputs can also be used as Inputs

High-Current Circuits

  • P4, P5, P11: Rated for 80A constant load. Always use two fuses (e.g., 2 × 30A for a 60A load).
  • P9 & P10: Rated for 40A constant or 80A intermittent (<10 min at 50% duty cycle).
  • High-capacity 80A output includes dual-fuse provision for safe heat dissipation.
  • Total load to the house battery must not exceed 150A.

Torque Settings

  • 150A connectors: 3Nm
  • 80A / 40A connectors: 1.8Nm
  • 25A connectors: 0.8Nm
  • Tighten all unused clamps to avoid vibration noise. In high-vibration builds, check torque as part of regular maintenance.

Recommended Tool: EGON recommends using a precision torque screwdriver, such as the Precision Torque Screwdriver available from EGON, to correctly tighten the contacts on the circuit board.

Fuse Handling

  • Fuses are designed to fit tightly to prevent voltage drop and overheating. Do not bend or loosen fuse holders.
  • If a fuse becomes loose, gently pinch the connector with pliers before reinserting.
