Product Details

The EGON Relay-Hub is the simplest way to add switching and fused power distribution to your 12/24V DC system. It supports up to five individual 25A circuits and works standalone or alongside an EGON DC-Hub or DC-Hub Dual. Designed to cut wiring time dramatically, it eliminates lugs, crimps, spade connectors, and heat shrink by using clean screw terminal connections that make powering high-current loads simple and reliable.

Overview

The EGON Relay-Hub is the simplest way to add switching and fused power distribution to your 12/24V DC system. It supports up to five individual 25A circuits and works standalone or alongside an EGON DC-Hub or DC-Hub Dual. Designed to cut wiring time dramatically, it eliminates lugs, crimps, spade connectors, and heat shrink by using clean screw terminal connections that make powering high-current loads simple and reliable.

Features

  • Flexible Power Management:  10 outputs for switched and constant loads, protected across 5 × 25A fused circuits.
  • Simplified Switching: Remote or onboard switching for lights, pumps, fridges, and more.
  • Fast and Simple Installs: High quality screw terminals cut install time. No lugs, crimps, heat shrink, or specialised tools required.
  • Instant Fault Diagnosis: LED indicators show active outputs for easy relay diagnostics and blown fuses at a glance.
  • Built-In Redundancy: Onboard override switches keep circuits live if external switches or wiring fail.
  • Universal Compatibility: Works standalone, with battery boxes, directly of the start battery or paired with the EGON DC-Hub or DC-Hub Dual.
  • Backed by 4 Year Warranty: Confidence built in with one of the strongest warranties in its class.

What's Included

  • 1 × EGON Relay-Hub unit
  • Fastener-Kit to mount circuit board into optional bracket or onto any surface

What You'll Need

  • Relays: 5 × standard automotive relays (sold separately)
  • Main Fuses: 80A external main fuse
  • Fuses: Fuses for each output (rating matched to load and cable size)
  • Cabling: Twin core cable for loads and 3 core or multi core cable for external switches
  • Optional: EGON Relay-Hub Bracket & Cover (available separately or as a kit)

Relay-Hub Simple Wiring

Wiring diagram of the EGON Relay-Hub showing a basic setup with house and start batteries supplying power for common loads like lights and appliances.

This example shows a simple Relay-Hub setup using power from house and start batteries to run lights and appliances.

Connections

  • Main Supply: Connect with external 80A fuse to battery, DC-Hub, DC-Hub Dual, or battery box.
  • Outputs: Each of the 5 outputs rated to 25A (switched / constant).
  • Loads: Connect via twin core cable.
  • Switched loads (lights, pumps, ovens) → use Load terminals.
  • Constant loads (fridges, comms) → use Alt. Supply terminals.
  • External Switches: Connect via 3 core (or multi core for multiple circuits) to Switch Inputs. Power Out circuit requires fuse (max 3A).
  • Override Switches: Onboard per circuit for manual redundancy.
  • Alt. Supply: When an externally fused alternative power source is connected to the Alt. Supply terminals, the onboard fuse is not required. That circuit will then draw only from the Alt. Supply, not the Main Supply. Useful when powering some circuits from a start battery and others from a house battery.

Recommended Tool: EGON recommends using a precision torque screwdriver, such as the Precision Torque Screwdriver available from EGON, to correctly tighten the contacts on the circuit board.

Fuse Handling

  • Each output requires a correctly rated fuse.
  • Circuits can be used for both switched and constant loads if the fuse rating covers both (within safe cable and component limits).
  • Fuses must fit tightly. Loose fuses can cause overheating, voltage drop, or damage.

FAQs

FAQs

Does it come with relays or fuses?

No, you’ll need to purchase relays and fuses separately.

Is it suitable for 12V and 24V systems?

Yes. The Relay-Hub supports both 12V and 24V DC applications.

Can I run both switched and constant loads from one circuit?

Yes. A circuit can supply both switched and constant loads if the fuse rating is chosen to cover the combined load and remains within safe cable and component limits.

How do I know if a circuit is active or a fuse has blown?

LED indicators show both active outputs and blown fuses.
