The 48V Alternator is designed for use within the EGON 48V system and is available in multiple vehicle-specific fitments.

TO BUILD an operational 48V system you will need the following products. In this list, only the alternator and battery are optional should you prefer to source them elsewhere. Other branded DC-DC converters or alternator controllers are NOT compatible with the Egon 48V hub.

Before you contact support and ask if we have a 48V alternator - LOOK BELOW. The table shows every one available now. This list is complete and up to date. However, the generic alternator can be made to fit . . .

The Egon generic 48V alternator fits a standard air-conditioner compressor bracket. These are available from Ram Air (https://www.ramair.com.au/) We are not able to supply these directly.

By end 2026 we are planning to add Ineos Grenadier petrol and diesel, Ford Super Duty and Land Cruiser 300 diesel. If your car is not in this list, we do not have it yet.

Overview

The 48V 100A alternator provides charging for the EGON 48V system. Each fitment is specific to the vehicle platform and mount type.

These alternators are manufactured in Queensland, Australia by a family business in the business of vehicle alternators for decades. These units are especially made for the EGON system. That said, any 48V alternator will work with the EGON 48V architecture, mostly without modifications. EGON alternators have been pre-configured so that setting up a new system is made simpler. They are shipped directly from their facility.

Important Information

This product is part of the EGON 48V system and should be selected based on vehicle compatibility.

Shipping & Availability

This product is currently available for Australian orders only. No international orders are available for Egon alternators. And apart from the battery, a full 48V system can be ordered internationally. The battery can be any 48V LifePO4 but needs a charge rate of 100A to get the full charge potential from the system. If it has less, the system can be 'tuned' to work with any 48V battery, albeit at lower charge currents.

International customers should contact support@egon.com.au before ordering so EGON can confirm product availability, freight options and suitability for their 48V system.
